Golfers, This is my final e-mail to you as the Leader of the Honeywell Hackers. All of you have always been great to have at our tournaments, and I will especially miss seeing the “regulars” at our events. There is no one particular reason I am no longer going to be running the tournaments, but there are multiple signs that it is time to do something else. It’s been 12 years (Just getting tired of doing it). The few perks that the job did have are all gone (changes in the economy). Smaller number of players coming to events (but still a great group). I am starting a LARGE project at work that will take 100% of my time to accomplish in 2010 (We are moving our system from the Mainframe computer to a Server environment).

With all of the above being said, I would just like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you for coming out to our tournaments and making this a great club to belong to. Just because the Honeywell Hackers will be no more does not mean you have to give up golf. I would strongly suggest that you give the Sold Out Survivors (SOS) golf club a try. It is run by another Honeywell employee (Pat Hughes) and retiree (Rich Hoag). It is the group that we have been using to get our SCGA handicaps from. These guys do a great job! I played in a few of their tournaments last year and I’m looking forward to playing in more of them in 2010. Hopefully, I will see most of you out there, also. I have included a link to their website so you can go check out the 2010 tournament schedule and get more info about the club. Lastly I want to thank my family for not complaining when I had to go “Work” on the golf course. I also want to thank my friends and their families (Brad/Paul/Matt/John/Bob) for putting up with the last tee times and helping out with the annual big Palm Springs event…. Also thank you Hilda & Larry for the help that Employee Services provided during the time it was here. Without the combination of a great set of golfers, great friends and their families, this club would not have lasted as long as it did. See you on the course… Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

December 5 2009 Upcoming Honeywell event at Hansen Dam Golf Course CANCELLED

The Hansen Dam Tournament on December 5th is CANCELLED. We did not have enough players to fill the minimum required by the course. Steve will VOID & shred all the payments that have been sent in. No checks have been deposited (they were on hold to be sure we had enough players)
