Anybody say "Wood Chips"? We obviously caught the course in redevelopment. Bare fairways are understandable this time of year, but covering the fairways in wood chips made for some tough lies (and we played the ball down). The rain stayed away and the sun poked through a few times. We had a good turnout with 34 members despite the downturn of the weather. Just a week before it was 85°. What's with Pat's scheduling?

Gale King started this year where he left off in 2008. He finished 1st in the first flight and overall with low net with a net 64, Paul Sullivan and Chad Visessung tied at 2nd with 67's. Second flight winners were Rich Tanigawa net 69 and 2nd was Matt Deatherage net 70. Jim Rayno and Art Campuzano won top skins with $25.50 each.

Gross winners were first flight Pat Hughes 78 and Kevin Faulkner 80. Second flight was Matt Deatherage and Scott Berrum with 91s. You cannot win both gross and net awards so even though Gale had a gross 79 for second place gross he'll gets the low net award and Kevin will get the 2nd low gross. GOY points for low net are awarded as always.

The race for the Survivors cup has started with Gale King leading with 50 points, Paul Sullivan second with 40 points , Chad Visessung third with 30 points, Kevin Faulker with 20 points and Leonard Manzano with 10 points.
