Jan 16, 2010 Results from the Links at Victoria
We had a beautiful day. The course was not in great shape so we played lift, clean and place. Had to keep reminding Chad that it does not include a tee each time. Lots of low scores which means the greens rolled pretty true. I witnessed Jack hole out a greenside bunker shot and Bob and Gale attempt to clear a six inch curb but were both one inch too low. Pat had an eagle on #1 coupled with the tournament low gross of 73.

February 20, 2010 Upcoming SOS event at LA Royal Vista in Walnut.
The February event on Saturday February 20th will be held at LA Royal Vista Golf Club in Walnut and is a low net tournament. First tee time is 9 AM. There is a $5.00 closest to the pin contest. We will have winners for Net to three places in each flight.
DEADLINE: We must have all money by Feb 10th. Sign up by then or don't play!
Defending champion is Pat Hughes who shot a net 66.
This is also the 2nd round of match play qualifying. There are three qualifing rounds. Just let Pat or Rich know and add the $10 match play entry fee to your check for the LA Royal Vista and Rehawk tournaments.
This tournament will be effected by the mid-month index update.

An Invitation to Join
SOS is an SCGA affiliate golfing club that is open to all golfers looking for a club that is not attached to a golf course facility. We offer monthly tournaments, match play,out of state golfing trips, electronic tournament scoring system, as well as an up to date web site that you can go to anytime with tee times, tournament results, and club info.
The SCGA has an electronic handicapping system which allows posting of scores on-line and monthly email notification for news and handicap. SOS has a certified handicap chairman that can assist the golfer in understanding the handicap system.
